Evaluating Buckling of Partially Embedded Piles with Nonlinear Horizontal Reaction Coefficient in Cohesive Soil
One of the failure factors of partially embedded piles under the structures is pile buckling. In this research program, buckling critical load of a partially embedded concrete pile in cohesive soil is evaluated using the B-spline numerical method and nonlinear horizontal reaction coefficient along with the pile. By comparing geotechnical load-bearing capacity with buckling bearing one, partially embedded piles with a higher risk of buckling failure than geotechnical one are chosen for investigation.
