Probabilistic Modelling of Design Loads for Ships
Abstract The aim of this paper is to determine a set of design loads for structural analysis of ships. The problem consists in taking into account the statistical correlation among loads, without introducing complicate approaches, useless in practical applications. The set of design loads obtained by the proposed method are simple enough for practical purposes and still ensure the same safety level as required when just one load is acting.
