Hydraulic turbines for the Sayano-Shushenskoe hydroelectric station
Conclusions 1. The turbine equipment developed for the Sayano-Shushenskoe hydroelectric station, having an efficiency of 96.0% and specific metal consumption of 1.9 kg/kW, is a new stage in the development of Soviet hydroturbine construction. 2. The turbine equipment permitted a rational layout of the powerhouse, was conveniently transportable, and made it possible to start operating the units ahead of schedule. Furthermore, it is amenable to large-block assembly and meets the requirements of industrial design.
