Zinc Spray Galvanizing
Technological Improvement in the Arc-Spray Technology, New Zn Alloys. Thermal Spraying Process for a Long-Lasting Life of Steel Against Corrosion
Steel structures exposed to aggressive environment must be protected to preserve structural integrity and granting a long-lasting cycle.
All coatings are not equal. The majority of anticorrosion process are passive, they only isolate (barrier) steel from the environment. Zinc provides double physical protection: both barrier as well as sacrificial against corrosion and furthermore protects steel in different ways: Hot dip, Zinc Thermal Spray (Metallization), rich paints, phosphating, electroplating.
Thermal Spray process (TS) is ruled under EN ISO 2063. It is among the most productive and economical coating systems used for corrosion protection steel structures, repairing old corroded or used to repair steel reinforced concrete from corrosion.
The coating is compatible with different sealer types and further paints will protect Zinc from exposure to corrosive environments, and slow its natural oxidation. In addition, Zinc also protects the paint from any under-film corrosion at scratches or damages providing the synergic effect (Duplex).
