Earthquake Disaster Simulation of Typical Supertall Buildings
Using the proposed high-fidelity computational models in Chap. 2, this chapter presented the earthquake-induced collapse simulation of two real-world landmark supertall buildings, i.e., the Shanghai Tower (H = 632 m) and the CITIC Tower (H = 528 m). In-depth discussions are also provided with respect to the collapse process and failure mechanisms of these supertall buildings.
