Conclusion It is of greatest interest and benefit to us to study the experience of organizing the construction of the earth dam, where 46 million m3 of soil were transported from a borrow pit located 6.5 km from the site by the most economical method — by conveyers at a rate up to 5500 m3/h, which permitted constructing the entire dam in the shortest possible time (from July 1964 to September 1967), i.e., practically during 3 1/2 construction seasons.
