Mechanized compaction of concrete in large blocks of hydraulic structures
Conclusions 1. Placement operations for up to 60–80% of the volume of concrete in large reinforced structures can be mechanized. 2. The most suitable type of compacting equipment for this purpose is the planar compactor with elliptic vibrations, whose industrial production should be achieved soon. 3. Both 1-ton special cranes and additional lightweight cranes can be used for operating the compactors. Their use for intrablock operations will be economically advantageous in many cases.
