Calculation of the overall strength of cellular structures of prefabricated flat plates
Conclusions 1. When calculating the overall strength of tall cellular structures made of prefabricated flat slabs the reinforced-concrete frame can be regarded as a composite beam of variable section and the calculations can be based on the theory of composite beams. 2. Deep braces-slabs can be regarded as infinitely rigid shear braces and as infinitely rigid cross braces, which appreciably simplifies the calculation. 3. The state of stress of the structure obtained by calculation permits us to know the most stressed zones and to reinforce appropriately the structure, which ultimately permits reducing the consumption of concrete and reinforcing rod and increasing the technical and economic indexes of the structure.
