Oxidative pyrolysis of propane with an admixture of ethylene
Abstract It has been shown that in the case of noncatalytic oxidative pyrolysis of propane, the admixture of ethylene in the reactants significantly increases the concentration of propylene in the products. This process can be arranged in such a manner that the ethylene will not be noticeably consumed, i.e., will actually act as a propylene formation catalyst. This arrangement opens up a possibility to design a selective process for producing propylene directly from propane.
