Reliability and Risk in Water Supply Systems
Abstract The concepts of risk and reliability can readily be applied to supply problems. In fact, one of the greatest advantages of reliability as a design tool is that it is equally well suited for many of different design problems, provided that the concept of failure or incident be defined appropriately. The concepts developed in the introductory paper by Duckstein et al appear to be broad enough to cover all cases of failure.
