DISCHARGE EQUATIONS FOR UNCALIBRATED SHARP EDGED ORIFICE PLATES
The paper represents the experimental results about the discharge equations developed for uncalibrated sharp edged orifice plates in a closed conduit. The data collected in the laboratory for various shapes of the orifice plates with varying area ratios have been analyzed to yield discharge equations. The discharges computed with developed discharge equations are compared with the measured discharge in the laboratory and it is found in a good agreement.
