The performances of various models in estimating the transport properties used in Civil engineering are compared on the basis of data obtained in collaboration by a group of laboratories. The diffusion coefficient of solutes in the liquid phase, the intrinsic permeability the gas permeability, the moisture diffusivity are considered. The predictions of classical models (Effective medium Theory, Kozeny…) are examined, together with the estimations of more recent models (Katz and Thompson, XDQ).
