Propriétés physicochimiques des systèmes cimentaires composés de chaux et d'additifs minéraux
Our research focuses on perfecting mineral binders with lime and gypsum incorporating one or two additionnal compounds. Those additions are made of crushed rocks and/or industrial by-products. The results obtained show a synergy regarding the reactivity during the addition process of two different minerals apart from lime and gypsum. For slag-based mixtures the addition of natural pozzolans much more contribute to compressive strength than industrial by-products such as cinders and scoria. The hydration of those mixtures generally leads to the formation of calcium silicate hydrates, portlandite, carbonates and carboaluminates. Chemical and SEM analysis reveal a high porosity and a carbonation of samples. Lime and gypsum based materials made of several additions may be used as insulating materials with a low-bearing capacity.
