This paper presents an experimented study on real buildings before and during demolition. The main objective is to get information available to be used in seismic vulnerability diagnosis of existing building. Three vibrations methods were used: mechanical ambient noise recordings, measurements with harmonic excitation or with shocks. Modal parameters are obtained and the dynamic behaviour approached with simple models. The analysis also allows to identify soil-structure interaction phenomena or the role of non-structural elements. This study shows the interest of experimental approach for the analysis of seismic vulnerability.
