Many attempts have been made to assess the effects of Regional Policy both at the macro and micro levels. Little attention however has been paid to Regional Incentives in the decision-making process and specifically the information possessed by firms of the policy instruments themselves. The present study analyses individual firms' information levels of policy instruments, identifying low levels of information particularly among potential movers. It suggests the need for a more positive approach to the distribution of information possibly involving a direct counselling service for firms.
