Failure mechanisms of reinforced and pre-stressed concrete structures
This paper deals with specific aspects of nonlinear computation of reinforced and pre-stressed concrete structures. The constitutive equations dedicated to concrete cracking, concrete-steel bond rupture and corroded steel yielding are described. The numerical tools based on multifibre beam simplified analysis are presented allowing treating, in a same modelling framework, diverse sources of degradation such as concrete cracking due to fatigue loading, earthquake or steel corrosion.
