Styrene- acrylonitrile co-polymer impregnated mortar
The effect of radiation on the physical properties of styrene-acrylonitrile co-polymer impregnated concrete was examined and compared with that of polymethyl methacrylate impregnated concrete. Monomer conversion, compressive and tensile strengths, molecular weight and water absorption were determined with changes in polymer loading. The impact strength and the acid resistance of styrene-acrylonitrile co-polymer impregnated specimens were also determined. Polymer loading was increased using vacuum and pressure impregnation techniques.
