Propriedades dielectricas de pastas de cemento con reducido contenido en agua libre
In this work the dielectric properties of concrete with and without chlorides as a function of their water contents were studied by the Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). Specimens of cement paste with different water/cement ratio and chlorides content was analysed. After drying the specimens, the rehydratation was controlled by the relative weight increasing. A detailed study of the dielectric behaviour in the range of 20 Hz to 40 MHz according to the water and the chlorides contents was made. For the experiments three types of materials have been used: (i) concrete (100 g) and water (50 g), (ii) concrete (100 g), water 50 g) and CaCl2H2O (2,56 g), and (iii) concrete (100 g) and water (40 g). The conditioning of the materials has been carried out at 100 % relative humidity, 22 degrees C and for 10 days. One of the most critical aspects for the penetration of water into the materials is the size of pores. The porosity of the different materials was 18, 21 and 12 % of the total, respectively. The capillary force is a function of surface tension, the boundary angle, the diameter of the pores and the density of the liquid. The weight increase depends on the characteristics of the material and was between 2 and 4 %. The predominantly factor is the retention of water in the pores of the material. The material containing chlorine showed the most critical water content.
