Phoenix Cement Company: Freight elevator project
In 1999, Phoenix Cement Co., initiated a plant modernization project at its Arizona facility. The modernization consisted of replacing the existing kilns with a single state-of-the-art, five-stage, pre-heater/pre-calciner kiln system. Champion Elevators' Model US-10,000-RN2 that features a spacious 14-foot x 10-foot car size with vertical bi-parting car and landing doors has been chosen. This unique rack-and-pinion drive elevator system is rugged, durable and helps improve overall job safety and employee efficiency and productivity.
