Measurement of continuous drying out of subterranean concrete walls
The present investigation describes the measurement of subterranean concrete walls using TDR-techniques. The probes are specially constructed for the permanent use in the building and were scanned during a period of 3 years. The water content is derived by the application of a 4-phase dielectric mixing approach, where hydratation can be taken into account. The metamorphosis of the concrete is integrated by the electrical conductivity as an indicator of the total dissolved components. Exemplarily the single data are presented for wall elements of different level floors of the building. The differences between wall and ceiling of the respective levels and the mean values reflect the drying behavior of the average building.
