Comfort Analysis for the Building at a Metro Depot
A comfort analysis for the building at a metro depot is presented in this paper with FEA method. First, the dynamic analysis for the whole building structure is performed and the acceleration response of each floor is calculated and compared with the civil codes, based on which the structural comfort is estimated. And then, the major factor resulting in the comfort problem of shear-wall buildings is obtained by frequency domain analysis and it is the summation of mode participating coefficients according to the peak-amplitude frequency-range of vibration source. And finally, an advice for the modification of building design is presented to avoid the structural comfort problem.
