Model tests for stoplogs subjected simultaneously to overflow and underflow
For the stoplogs of the WELBEDACHT-DAM in Southatrica investigations about vibration during overflow and underflow were carried out using a scale model 1 to 50. Test series with stoplog models ot different heights and positions gave information about hydrodynamic vertical forces, their fluctuations (vibrations) and frequencies. As to be expected from similar investigations, vibration forces and frequencies turned out to be fairly remarkable.
