Last June AWWA's Board of Directors adopted a new strategic plan. Our vision has evolved to be “A better world through better water.” That is a powerful vision ‐ one that ties the importance of water to the quality of life around the world. Also, this is a member‐focused vision ‐ not an organization‐focused vision. Because AWWA is a membership organization it is important that our vision align with and reflect the ultimate goal of the work that AWWA's members do every day ‐ making the world better by making water better. LaFrance thanks our members for being “dedicated to the world's most important resource” ‐ which, by the way, just happens to be AWWA's new organizational tagline.
