Colorimetric Determination of Arsenic in Water With Silver Diethyldithiocarbamate
This article discusses a simple, direct colorimetric method for the determination of arsenic that was reported by Vasak and Sedivek in 1952. This method, which is both very accurate and very sensitive, is based on spectrophotometric measurement of the red color developed when arsine gas is passed into a solution of silver diethyldithiocarbamate in pyridine.
