This chapter talks about creating ceilings, ceiling openings and soffits, adding interior design, and alternate floor materials. Placing a ceiling is quite easy; the hard part is finding the view in which to do it. Whereas floor plans show the views standing at that level looking down, ceiling plans show the view standing at that level looking up. The chapter also shows how to cut an opening into a ceiling, into which the users will drop a soffit later. Users can add a ceiling to a model even if there are no walls defining an enclosed space. The first part of the interior design process is adding plumbing fixtures and furniture. Next is adding parabolic troffers. This is followed by adding casework and furniture, especially office furniture and cabinets for the kitchen. Separating the floor, and creating a tile material are processes involved for adding alternate floor materials.
