Expansion of Treatment Facilities at Groton, Conn.
This article discusses the expansion of water treatment facilities at Groton, Connecticut. In addition to a new reservoir and more water treatment capacity, a new 20‐in. main was needed to augment the supply of the large industrial plants in the area. Plant design alternatives are presented, along with alternative oxidation methods, the final design decision, and construction and operation.
