A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Water reuse—the process of using water more than once within a community for beneficial purposes—can expand resources for irrigation, industrial processes, and even potable drinking water supply.
AWWA understands the need for water reuse and, in addition to including a specific policy statement for using reclaimed water for public water supply purposes, has published two utility management standards on the topic.
AWWA staff and volunteers are actively working to obtain feedback from users of the standards, and AWWA intends to publish updated and revised versions within the next couple of years.
