Court Allows Reallocation of CVP Water
Creek County Rural Water District No. 2 was granted permission by the county to install water lines in 1965. The county said the district had to remove the lines if necessary for the maintenance, repair, or widening of the roads. The district built its lines. In 1993, the county petitioned to have them moved, because it was placing a new bridge across a creek. The district refused. The county sought a permanent injunction directing the district to move its lines at its own expense. The trial court ruled for the county.
