Controlling Organics: The East Bay Municipal Utility District Experience
Ongoing investigations by the East Bay Municipal Utility District indicate that maximum trihalomethane levels in its finished water can be reduced by half through modifications in existing chlorination practices. Should the total trihalomethane MCL be lowered to less than 50 μg/l, however, additional treatment will be required.
