A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
This report discusses a new pipe replacement technology that uses a probabilistic model to predict future deterioration, pipe breaks, and reliability of water supply. Since pipes make up the bulk of a distribution system, this article focuses solely on pipes. The proposed methodology, however, is also applicable to other system components such as valves, pumps, and tanks.
