Outline of site management planning in the bidding stage
The main goal of planning the construction site and temporary works at this stage is to prepare a profitable bid on the basis of the bidding documentation (the initial data described in Chapter 1) and the resources of the construction enterprise. The documents and calculations which are described in this chapter are self‐explanatory (schemes of procurement, possible subcontractors, problems with the duration of construction, a list of risks, construction site layout, time schedule and cost estimation of temporary works and facilities). The number of cost elements at this stage does not usually exceed 20. The method for calculating such norms is presented in Chapter 3.
