Complementarity of Techniques
This chapter addresses the phases of data acquisition and production. The two techniques described above can be compared from different viewpoints. Amiens Cathedral, a gothic masterpiece built in the 13th Century, is a particularly outstanding building, due to its size, fractal decoration and symbolic importance. The framework of the 3D model (interior and exterior) is obtained by lasergrammetry due to terrestrial laser scanners, which provide relatively dense point clouds.
