Architectural concept for multi‐storey apartment building with light steel framing
This paper describes a modular, easy‐to‐build, energy‐efficient and affordable architectural concept for multi‐storey residential buildings. The design concept evolves from a minimum modular grid that allows multiple combinations while ensuring spatial flexibility, net area optimization and adaptability. The proposed solution is based on light steel framing to allow easy erection and rapid construction without the need for complex and expensive in situ construction facilities.
