Important Considerations in Concrete‐Reservoir Designs and Construction
Concrete has the ability to withstand greater pressures and last longer underground than any other type of structure that might be used for reservoir tanks. However, in order to produce the type of tank desired, the engineer, contractor, and owner must be thoroughly familiar with the different types of concrete as well as with the variations in foundations, steel corrosion, and drying shrinkage.
