Attenuation measurements on high-voltage overhead line
Measurements are reported of frequency-dependent transmission characteristics of 110 kv overhead line with 240/40 (21,7 mm diam) ASC conductors in triangular configuration, during different stages of line construction; measurements permitted calculated transmission characteristics to be checked and corrected; results presented show that there exist appreciable differences in attenuation between line configuration symmetrical to earth, and line configuration unsymmetrical to earth; conclusions are drawn as to HF interference due to corona.
