Methods used in raising Tennessee River bridge at Guntersville, Ala, consisting of 3-span 767-ft continuous steel truss, which was lifted 17 ft as unit, and 1600 ft of approach structure (both concrete T-beam and steel girder construction) spans of which were raised distances varying from 8 1/2 to 17 ft, with aid of novel gantry crane; hoisting arrangement.
