Main factors of ceramic firing are temperature duration, and kiln atmosphere; effects of factors are expressed in structure changes, sintering process, and properties of fired product; effects were investigated on widely differing brick and clinker clays; clays were freed of interfering impurities, notably CaO; particular attention paid to Fe2O3 content.
