Research project to develop methods, techniques and criteria for constructing approach roads in Greenland is described; report covers activities for years 1960 through 1964, which consisted of annual assessment of performance of various roads and other structures on ice cap; emphasis is placed on climate; design, construction and performance of new ramp road; performance of past construction; ice surface movement; subsurface temperature measurements; and use of snow fences to reduce ablation.
