The invention relates to a dry-type low-carbon environment-friendly stemming and a manufacturing method thereof. The dry-type low-carbon environment-friendly stemming mainly comprises 10-35 wt% of corundum, 10-25 wt% of flint clay, 10-20 wt% of bauxite, 5-20 wt% of SiC, 3-8 wt% of ferrosilicon nitride, 10-20 wt% of fireclay, 0-5 wt% of alpha-Al2O3 micropowder, 1-3 wt% of silicon micropowder, 3-6 wt% of sericite and 8-10 wt% of asphalt. The additives comprise 0.5-2 wt% of oleic acid, 0-3 wt% of paraffin and 0-3 wt% of thermoplastic phenol formaldehyde resin. The method is green and environmentally friendly, is simple in production technique, and is similar to the production of a common powdery refractory material. The stemming has scour resistance, corrosion resistance, high tendency to opening, no reaming, no wattenschlick, high tendency to sintering, no environment pollution, high productivity, easy field operation and other favorable characteristics of the favorable stemming, is hopeful to lowering the national blast-furnace stemming consumption to less than 1 kilo per ton of iron, and is worthy of widespread popularization and application.
