The invention discloses a novel rock wool material. The novel rock wool material is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 70 to 80 parts of basalt, 5 to 8 parts of limestone, 8 to 10 parts of slag, 20 to 30 parts of coke, 3 to 5 parts of auxiliary materials, and proper amount of adhesives and water repellents; the rock wool material formed by piling the rock wool fibers prepared from the raw materials is pressed through a three-dimensional cotton presser to form a three-dimensional integral structure in a form of an inter-layer lapping structure. The prepared rock wool material is uniform to distribute, good in hydrophobic effect and high in mechanical performance.
