The invention discloses artificial stone and a production method thereof. The artificial stone comprises the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 40-60% of unsaturated polyester, 0.1-1% of a silane coupling agent, 0.1-3% of an accelerator, 0.1-3% of a curing agent, 0.1-3% of an antifoaming agent, 40-50% of inorganic minerals and 1-3% of graphene based on the weight of unsaturated polyester. According to the artificial stone and production method thereof disclosed by the invention, the adopted components are odorless, pollution-free and harmless to environment and human bodies, the problems such as shrinkage and deformation are avoided in use, and pollution to water quality and soil is prevented after the artificial stone is discarded.
