The invention discloses a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic-steel rib-steel pipe concrete compound column and belongs to the field of a building element technology. The compound column comprises a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic fabric, steel ribs and a steel pipe concrete column core. The steel ribs are located at four corners of the steel pipe concrete column core, the carbon fiber-reinforced plastic fabric is pasted to the outer sides of the steel ribs, and the carbon fiber-reinforced plastic fabric is pasted to the steel ribs and the steel pipe concrete column core so that an integral body is formed. Compared with a steel corner reinforcement method, the reinforcement method after steel pipe concrete column core destroying can well improve bearing and ductility of the steel pipe concrete column core.
