The invention discloses a measuring method for a salt-fresh water proportion in an estuary area. The method comprises the following steps that according to an actual water front of the estuary area and a geography condition, a non-structural grid of a height fitting water front is established, and a Sigma grid coordinate is adopted in the vertical direction; based on the grid, an estuary three-dimensional water power-salinity mathematic model is established, calibration verification, frequency lining and typical year selecting are carried out, salinity calculation is carried out, the salt-fresh water proportion of each grid point is obtained, deviation calculation is carried out on the salt-fresh water proportion of each grid point, and a contour map of the salt-fresh water proportion in the estuary area is obtained. By utilizing the mathematic model, based on set grid point collecting data, the calculation is carried out, the salt-fresh water proportion of each grid point can be obtained, a scale map of the salt-fresh water in the estuary area is drawn, accurate measuring of the salt-fresh water proportion of each point in the estuary area is achieved, rapid and accurate requiring can be achieved, and the salt-fresh water proportion conditions of different water areas in the estuary area can be comprehensively reflected.
