The invention provides a method for reducing construction of viaduct bridge approaches. The structure is composed of a viaduct and elevators. The elevators for automobiles to get on or off the viaduct are constructed in the middle or on both sides of the viaduct, automobiles travelling in two ways on or under the bridge get on or off the viaduct through the elevators so as to reduce the construction density of viaduct bridge approaches and be convenient for automobiles to get on or off the viaduct at midway. Automobiles take the elevators to get on or off the viaduct, thus greatly reducing construction quantity of viaduct bridge approaches, simplifying engineering design, lowering construction cost, reducing construction period, reducing land occupation, providing convenience for vehicles to get on or off the viaduct during travelling, reducing traffic jams and fuel oil consumption, and improving viaduct utilization and protecting the environment.
