The invention discloses a color rock slice billet preparation method. A color rock slice billet is made of raw materials including, by weight, 125-600 parts of resin, 0-300 parts of curing agents, 100-750 parts of powder, 0-100 parts of diluting agents and 0.01-0.1 part of pigment. The preparation method includes the steps: (1) weighing the raw materials according to a proportion; (2) individually preparing the resin or uniformly mixing the resin and the diluting agents; (3) adding the curing agents into liquid prepared in the step (2) and uniformly mixing the liquid; (4) adding the pigment into the liquid prepared in the step (3) or the step (2) and uniformly mixing the liquid; (5) adding the powder into the liquid prepared in the step (4) and uniformly mixing the liquid to obtain billet preparation slurry; (6) injecting the billet preparation slurry into a die, naturally placing and maintaining the slurry after shaping to obtain the color rock slice billet, or heating the slurry in a drying oven to reach the temperature of 40-100 DEG C and curing the slurry until complete curing to obtain the color rock slice billet. The color rock slice billet is fast in curing, high in strength, fine in toughness and moderate in hardness and cannot stick to a disk in flaking, and a coating made of color rock slices is easy to spray, high in texture expression and less in usage.
