The invention provides a magnetic powder. The magnetic powder is prepared by using SrCO3 and Fe2O3 as the raw material of strontium ferrite and using lanthanum oxide, cobalt oxide, zinc oxide, strontium oxide, barium oxide, manganese oxide, aluminum oxide, boric acid and kaoline as compounding additives. Compared with the normal Sr ferrite material powder in this field, the magnetic energy product of the magnetic powder is 36.0-38.2kJ/m3, intrinsic coercivity is 346.1-369.1 kA/m, the residual magnetization is 433-438 mT and magnetic performance of the powder is obviously improved.
