The invention discloses a construction method for an ecological retaining wall structure. The construction method comprises the following steps of disassembling a damaged retaining wall and foundation, driving foundation piles, pouring a new foundation which wraps the exposed original foundation on the foundation piles, driving rigid-flexible compound piles within a certain distance behind a slope of an embankment, spraying high-strength pervious concrete onto the surface of the slope, drilling the predetermined positions of the surface of the slope to fixed rings of rigid piles, fixedly connecting anchor ropes with ring buckles, sleeving the anchor ropes with sleeves, ejecting and pressing the ring buckles to the fixed rings of the rigid piles to finish connecting the anchor ropes with the rigid piles by virtue of the top ends of the sleeves, then starting mounting concave and convex building blocks on the new foundation, arranging supports behind the concave and convex building blocks, pouring ecological concrete behind the concave and convex building blocks are the concave and convex building blocks are mounted to a predetermined height, forming planting holes in the top surface of the constructed embankment, and planting a vegetation cover in the plant holes to finish the construction of the ecological retaining wall.
