The invention discloses a self-tightening seal for sealing circular seams of cable clamps on a main cable of a suspension bridge and relates to the technical field of suspension bridge cable protection. The self-tightening seal comprises cable clamps sleeving the main cable and tapered sealing tapes arranged at the connections of the two ends of the cable clamps and the main cable; the tapered sealing tapes are abutted from two sides of a wedged seal through positioning pins and are fastened to the main cable through first hoops, a waterproof jacket is provided outside the wedged seal, and the waterproof jacket is fastened to the wedged seal through a second hoop. Compared with the prior art, the self-tightening seal has the advantages that circular seams at the two ends of the cable clamps are fully sealed, the rain and moisture are avoided entering the cable clamps to corrode the main cable from the circular seams of the cable clamps, and the wedged seal rarely ages and has long life.
