The invention relates to a heat-insulation material for an exhaust tube, and specifically relates to a compound modified expanded perlite-carbonized foamed phenolic resin-based heat-insulation material for a forklift engine exhaust tube and a preparation method thereof. According to the preparation method disclosed by the invention, phenolic resin doped with mesocarbon microbeads and carbonyl iron powder is subjected to foaming treatment at first during a preparation process, so that a carbonization process for the prepared modified phenolic resin foam powder during the subsequent carbonization process is more efficient, the carbonized material is more compact in structure, higher in strength and lower in heat conductivity coefficient; a compound expanded perlite micro-powder adhesive doped with silica sol is good in adhesion capacity and capable of improving the high-temperature stability of the material; the material subjected to the carbonization treatment is uniform and compact in structure, and has the advantages of being light in mass, heat-insulation, environment-friendly and the like; the finished products of heat-insulation plates, heat-insulation sleeves and the like prepared from the material are excellent in heat-insulation effect, efficient and durable, and capable of effectively improving the working environment of a forklift engine.
