The invention discloses a preparation method for a lightweight ceramic plate. According to the method, waste ceramic powder serves as raw materials, through formula adjustment and process improvement, special wave bands provided by microwaves are utilized to be coupled with basic fine structures of the materials to generate heat, the medium loss of the materials makes the whole materials heated to a sintering temperature, and then the densification is achieved; the sintering time is shortened, the sintering temperature is lowered, the obtained ceramic tile is even in pore distribution and high in quality, and the performance requirements of heat preservation, ageing resistance and flame resistance are met.
